21 Rock & Roll Favorites, Vol. 1 is a better-than-average single disc highlighting the pop and doo wop singles released on the Laurie label in the late '50s and early '60s. Along with a few of the tried-and-true radio classics by Dion, Del-Vikings, and Crests are less-than-obvious inclusions by the Five Discs, Dean & Jean, Bernadette Carroll, and the Four Coins.6/

This excellent stereo version is the radio edit all right, as are all the songs, but you can hear percussion and mid-range (horns) that are absent on other CD masterings; ditto for (6) 'Shout! Shout! (Knock Yourself Out)', the one song for which I bought this CD/5(2).
